What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present. When you’re mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience.

About The Instructor

Jeremy Enriquez, known by friends as Jerry, has been strongly advocating for the inclusion of Mindfulness in schools and workplaces in Belize, as a way to heal and transform individual and national consciousness since the 1980’s. With his academic qualifications in Psychology, Education, and Development, Jerry has served as an Educator at all levels of the education system in Belize and abroad, as well as an Adviser and Consultant for a number of governmental, non-governmental and international organizations.

Jerry has participated in a number of Vipassana Meditation courses at retreat centers abroad and recently has been asked to lead some of these courses.

Course Details

When: Starting February 6th, 2017 (Mondays and Wednesdays)- March 6th, 2017

Time : First week 6:00-8:00pm thereafter 6:00-7:00pm

Where: Om Shanti Belize – Shanti Room – 34 Princess Margaret Drive, Belize City

Cost: $160 – All proceeds go to Rhythm of Change Belize – non profit.
